Often, I'm here, sitting in the studio/nook where so many things happen. I put pen to paper, because that's how I remember the important. When feelings become words written down, they strengthen and solidify. This time, they're about the season of year, and being mindful and rested through it all, about knowing and respecting our physical, mental, and emotional stores. Loves? As the holidays approach, let's be gentle with ourselves. Let's turn in and listen to the quiet that guides us toward serenity and away from stress. Let's recognize those moments that are ours, and those that are not. Let's know our yes and know our no:
+ When we have fifteen minutes to offer, but not thirty.
+ When we have pancakes for dinner, not a three-course meal.
+ When we can make one pie, but not two.
+ When we can read a few lines, but not a whole book.
+ When, today, we clean the bathroom, but not the floors.
+ When we can send a note, but not a gift.
+ When popcorn is festive.
+ When extra game time is, like, cool.
+ When the budget is slender, and we're okay.
+ When we share what we have.
+ When we receive what we don't.
Do what you can with what you have.
