The simplest handwritten correspondence may just happen in a blank notecard. Because a blank notecard + a fine pen can say anything:
- hello
- birthday
- loss
- anniversary
- thank you
- congratulations
The idea of selecting a set of blank notecards for the year's correspondence is one that I've been fond of for a while now. And when those notecards are in some way special, appreciated as the art form they are, it makes the idea even more meaningful to the giver & receiver alike. When I mix all this with my new year's intention to connect more with my special people, there I've got a recipe for success.
Maybe you'd like to do this, too?
You can splurge and go for letterpress, beautiful graphics, or photo cards (hello, Easy!). Or you can thrift and go for white card stock and a rubber stamp (hello, Etsy!), or even a white card and your own art work. You really can't go wrong with either choice.
Now how many things in life can you say that about?
Here's to writing beautiful things inside of beautiful things (and no longer contending with a random desk drawer stuffed with a mish-mash of stationery).
P.S. The wildflower letterpress notecards I have are from Etsy shop invitedink
