The fourth and final plan in the Shelter Collection is now available! Shelter No.4 may be the most near to my heart, as it is the plan in the collection that most resembles our little house. In fact, I like to say it's ours, only better. This house has all the character that you've come to expect with the Shelter homes, such as plank walls, bednooks, built-in wardrobes, a window seat, and a recycle station in the kitchen. The exterior is enhanced by dormers, exposed rafter tails, and shutters. If you'd like to read more about the inspiration that went into this design, visit this post.
The Study Plan and Building Plan are both for sale now as downloadable PDF files in the shop.
In the Study Plan, which can be printed on standard size paper on your home printer, you will find the floor plan for Shelter No.4, which shows the interior layout and exterior elevations of all four sides. Also included is a detailed compilation of useful information that I wanted to pass on to anyone who is dreaming about building this house. Speaking of, because I wanted everyone to be able to dream a little, the Study Plan is priced at only $10.
The Building Plan includes the set of construction plans that any licensed contractor would use to build Shelter No.4 from. In addition to construction details, it also includes the drawings for all the built-in cabinetry and wardrobes, the bed nooks for the upstairs bedrooms, the master bed platform with under-bed drawer storage, the the kitchen cabinet design (which includes a 4-bin recycle center), and the design for the stair handrail, balusters, and newel post. Exterior elevations show three different siding options. The Building Plan can be printed at any establishment with a large format printer (Staples, Office Max, The UPS Store, etc). The Shelter No.4 Building Plan is priced at $2000.
Please note: All plans in the Shelter Collection are copyrighted, therefore, none of the homes in the collection can be built from the Study Plan. Thank you for respecting my intellectual property and the incredible amount of work that went into these plans.
Thank you to so many of you who have walked this journey with me. Your support and encouragement have meant the world.
