Oh, loves! Shelter No. 3, the third plan in the small-home Shelter Collection has arrived!
It is shown in the above rendering with board & batten siding and a steel roof. It also features classic details like exposed rafter tails and shutters. The smaller dormer on the right brings light into the vaulted ceiling of the main living area, and the larger dormer to the left lets light flood the stairwell. Beneath the oval window is a reading nook tucked under the stairs.
Curious to know more? You may read a detailed description of the interior of Shelter No.3 here. If you'd like, you may purchase both the study plan and building plan in the shop.
In the study plan, which can be printed on 8 1/2 x 11 paper on your home printer, you will find the floor plan for Shelter No. 3, with both footprint and interior room dimensions, and exterior elevations of all four sides. Also included is a detailed compilation of useful information that I've written for anyone who is dreaming about building this house. Speaking of, because I wanted everyone to be able to dream a little, the study plan is priced at only $10.*
The building plan includes the set of construction plans that any licensed contractor could build from. In addition to construction details, it also includes the drawings for all the built-in cabinetry and wardrobes, the bed nooks for the upstairs bedrooms, the master bed platform with under-bed drawer storage, the the kitchen cabinet design (which includes a 4-bin recycle center), and the design for the stair handrail, balusters, and newel post. The Building Plan can be printed at any establishment with a large format printer (Staples, Office Max, The UPS Store, etc). The Shelter No. 3 Building Plan is priced at $2000.
I'm so thrilled to be sharing this one with you!
*Note: The homes in the Shelter Collection cannot be built from the Study Plan.
