Making do. Taper candles can get in the way; tea lights rarely do. Found in the drawer of emergency candles & dropped to the bottom of hobnail juice glasses = sparkles at the table.

I'm quickly popping in here on a Sunday afternoon to let you know that the kind people at FeedBlitz have helped me with the final migration of my subscribed readers from no-longer FeedBurner to the new service at FeedBlitz. To make things clear for you and as easy as possible to come along with me over to FeedBlitz, I'll show you a series of screen shots and guide you in the transition. It's not difficult at all, you'll see...
If you've seen a notice like the one following in your email inbox with a recent blog update, it's a good thing.
Go ahead and click on the blue link in that bright yellow box. You'll be taken to a page that looks like this:
The box in the upper right corner gives you the option to subscribe to the blog through the new service. To continue receiving blog updates via email, click on the envelope in that box. You'll be taken to a final page that looks like this:
There you can see several options by which you can choose to have Assortment updates come to you. To continue to subscribe by email, make sure the corresponding circle is selected. Then, click on the Subscribe me! bar below. That's it! You're done and now email updates will arrive at your inbox (just one update per post now, not two - I know that was bothersome, think we've got it fixed).

Some of my favorite things: works in progress getting done stitch-by-stitch (this cowl), blank moleskine journals (for keeping track of those stitches and rows), a good read-aloud book (which made some boys quickly decide that they wanted to run away from home and live in the woods. Good idea), and something hot to drink (Have you tried these teas? So good).
