These words, spoken by a creative friend of mine years ago as we scrounged supplies for a project we were working on together, come back to me all these years later, at just the right time. Neither one of us had any money for the craft store load back then, but that didn’t stop the creative process, it just pushed us into a deeper level of it. Not creating wasn’t an option; finding a way to create was, even if that meant becoming outside-the-box thinkers, and looking at everything that we did have with possibility.
I’m remembering this today.
I’m looking to see what I do have, what I am capable of, what is possible, instead of throwing up my hands and saying that it can’t be done.
