So, that time last fall? You remember. The time where people from opposite ends of the country traveled to our beautiful state, to our town, to our little house? The kindest people, with all their gear and snack food and plans. Remember that?
And their boxes and boxes of things, when opened and spread across the lawn, looked for all the world like the best yard sale ever (this picture doesn’t EVEN come close to capturing all there was). And, of course, Miss Nellie Belly was convinced that they had all come just for her.
But no, between the puppy petting breaks, these people were like bees in a hive, for three days – editor, stylist, photographer, and three assistants – ironing, styling, painting chairs, adjusting lighting, and in every way making our little house look all kinds of pretty, and then they captured it that way.
Friends? (Gasp)
Finally, finally I am able to say: Our little house is featured inside and on the cover(!) of the latest issue of Country Living magazine!!
Squeeeeel! (I mean, what else can one say after typing that last sentence?)
Even though this has been in process for the past seven months, I still have to check often to make sure I’m not dreaming! Goodness, there’s so much more to share with you – details, and answers to questions (why are the walls green on the cover?), and of course, a post with the actual story and photos (coming up Wednesday!).
But, apart from the magazine itself, it was the people that we so enjoyed. In fact, we think they should all come back and visit!
Nellie does, too.
