What makes living in a very small house possible?
A shed.
Two sheds, actually, if you count the larder.
A place for camping gear, winter gear, the potting bench, tool box, and the library. A place for food storage, the deep freeze and canning jars. Not a place for keeping what shouldn’t be kept.
We’re learning about that. It happens in phases, like little doable steps; small bites, so we don’t choke.
The pile of empty boxes tossed out the door grew into a good-size hill. The stack for donation steadily expanded it’s girth. Floor space opened up. The storage shed across the yard, which had become a display of chaos throughout the winter months, was finally getting a much needed clean out yesterday. This wouldn’t be the end-all, be-all, done-with-every-square-inch-in-one-fell-swoop sort of clean out, but you could very well call it: Shed Clean-Out : Phase One.
Little bites, so we don’t choke.
