No, I don’t think so.
I don’t think I’ll be bummed that we may be getting snow in the next few days. It is moisture, after all. Essential springtime moisture.
Right.
I do think I’ll be right in there with the birds, singing when it melts, though. Essential springtime songs.
In other news, we have two cats now. Have I told you? Our first-ever pets. That’s Peanut up there, formerly known as Chainsaw. I’m glad she’s got a new handle – Chainsaw, I don’t know, it just seems a bit cutting. She’s expecting babies! Pretty sure, because, before we could schedule the vet visit, the nearby tomcat spend the night with her under the shed on February 14. Nobody told them it was Valentine’s Day. . . So, babies!
I have a real live clothesline going up today! I’ve got the clothespins all ready in an old galvanized bucket, and a basket for the clothes, and we all know there’s always plenty of laundry around here to fill the lines. Let’s just leave that dryer turned off for a few months, shall we?
A rhubarb crisp will be going into and coming out of the oven this afternoon, for dessert with friends this evening. I hear that the food will be roasted and the eating will happen outside, if wind and weather comply. I’m telling you this because the first al fresco of the season is certainly something to wave your banner and shout about. We may be wearing down and wool, but who really cares?
I have a mock-up in my kitchen. Mock-ups are essential to making the right decision, I’ve found. I want to make the right decision. It involves a pot rack and art (and a lot of questions by people walking through – “what’s that on the wall?”). You’d probably never think about a pot rack and art together, but there’s the mock-up for that very thing, hanging right there. I’ll Instagram it later. I think this is going to work.
And, just for you on this Friday afternoon:
Her story of becoming debt-free is fabulous
He writes of being debt-free, too, and of snow as ‘wet chips of white paint peeling off the sky’
Here’s talk about Missoula, Mt, my birthplace
Natural pain relief? Oh, yes. via smallmeasure
Wishing you the loveliest of weekends, friends!
