One Way to Do Less

And that is: Time is just right so that the computer goes on the fritz right in the middle of the Christmas season. That should do it.

Seeing as how this very thing has happened, I may be away from this little corner for a while while I see what the geeks can do. Hope they can get 'er tuned up and running smooth (or just turning on would be good!). In the mean time, drink lots of tea, wrap some gifts and maybe decorate a gingerbread house, 'kay?

I See Words

At first you can’t seem to see words at all, just a hodge-podge of scattered letters. But, then one word pops out at you, and then another, until soon all you see are words, words, words.

And boys see words. Boys see boy words like: epic, stud, patriots, crap, and other stout words that I cannot mention here.

And we make up words, diving for the dictionary, hoping to find them there. You never know.

Then, there’s the spelling. Like the word pair, and all the many ways to spell it. And how about night & knight or liar & lyre?

But, the best spelling presented thus far?

F-i-z-i-x

You know, physics.

It takes the cake.
