It sits in the simple, old fashioned kind of stand, with no skirt.
No skirt on purpose.
It sparkles with little white lights. Always little white lights.
This one would be adorned in a natural, woodsy, and unexpected way.
Or so I thought.
But then?
Boys dove in to help(!), and an explosion of Christmas balls happened.
Balls of all colors clumped en masse in the lower front quadrant?
Yes.
Other spots left quite bare?
Yes.
Boy-style.
And?
If you had time to stand and look, you’d find a Schleich owl, an F-16, and a P-51 hidden in there somewhere.
I loved it. And left all as it was.
Just added more balls to the bare spots, then the sparkly wallpaper stars over all.
We piled the Christmas books underneath; close for grabbing and reading whenever a few minutes are found.
