An Outdoor Room

Goodness gracious, people! We are getting closer to (finally) having electricity in our little house! I've learned more about amperage, breakers, electrical wire, codes, ground rods, and the permitting process in the last two weeks than I ever cared to know! We still have an open trench and general 'new construction landscaping' going on outside. It's to be expected, but I do find myself looking past the dirty/muddy/rocky bare spots and thinking about the possibilities...

Like a graveled courtyard.  

 

At one end of our cabin is a graveled area - and ugly graveled area. Rocks of all sizes with grass and weeds poking through. At first, I was thinking topsoil and grass seed, but then...how about a graveled courtyard?

Hmm. I'm kind of liking this idea.
