We went away. On Christmas Eve we drove to a cabin in the mountains.
The bulging surprise burst with happy.
Inside was a fireplace. Garland was on the mantle. A tree sparkled in the corner.
The white-draped dinner table was set for five.
And on the cabin door, this swag. (Looky there, I did cut up that 25 cent wool plaid jacket!)
I'd gone ahead of my guys by a couple hours, bringing all of Christmas with me (you should have seen my van!)
They arrived at dusk, all grins and happy. Indeed surprised.
A slow Christmas unfolded.
A quiet Christmas.
Deep in the piney woods.
I thought you'd like to see these first peeks.
Next week? I'll show you inside.
Promise.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday week, friends! Go slowly and see. I'll be back here on Monday!
