Of course, most of our time was spent outside, as camping in the woods near a lake would make us do, but, a couple of thunder storms, the morning sun's shadow collage cast across the tent top, that good book, and just the fact that there was this tent, that you could go into and out of, whenever you pleased (a boy's way of playing house, I do believe), brought a balance of shelter to the wide-open spaces.
And, by week's end, when I swept out the tent, I dare say we'd brought much of the outside in!
