...all the decorations, all by themselves, these three little fellas. See those balls way up at the top? Yep, they somehow got those up there, too. All by themselves.
They couldn't wait one more day for the ornaments to go on the tree. After all, when you are sufficiently stuffed with turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie, it's time to begin playing Christmas music and decking the halls, right?
So, I dragged out the box of Christmas ornaments and let them have at it. A big step for all of us, yes. Usually, I'm pretty particular about how the tree is decorated. But, this time, I felt a nudging to give them free reign to make it their own. A kid tree. I'm so glad I did.
The "snow" fell heavily on some branches, while it's just a dusting on others. The ornaments are clustered here, solitary there. Perfectly random. The assortment of colorful (red and white were gone in no time) pipe cleaner candy canes grows daily. Who could resist a bumper crop of these, made and hung by little boy hands?
In the middle of all the decorating amongst strains of holiday melodies, Asher said, "I'm getting that warm, cozy feeling!"
