I keep taking breaks from my work to drag sprinklers around the lawn. I like that. Like to run out for a bit, to swish through the grass, to watch the water shower up like a spout, then fall in sprinkles onto the lawn.
I don't mind working the holiday, really, especially when I happen to have a quiet little house for these tasks at hand. The celebrating will happen closer to dark, anyway, so I'm using the daylight hours to full advantage. I'm happy to report that I managed to wear blue and white today, and for the red, my toenail polish will have to do. Wink
And, no, it wasn't me who was writing on the old typewriter in the nook today. I had a sweet little dark-eyed girl here earlier who'd come with her parents for an appointment, and while we were meeting adult-style around the dining table, she was whacking away on the old Royal down the hall. Precious. With few toys around here, it's my ace in the hole when kids happen by.
Well loves, work's calling. I better dive right back in where I left off.
Have a lovely holiday (U.S.) & a wonderful weekend, friends!
